Listed below are some of the builds that I have ventured onto recently, that are worthy of mentioning. I tend to get meticulous and perhaps overly cautious on assembly as troubleshooting is something I wish to avoid. Foresight and discretion has paid off too since no project has had any major start-up issues. TTSH, the ARP2600 clone

I have been making music for over 25 years, mainly with the focus on electronic (dance) music. The main project in the late 90s and early 2000s was Headroom with over 40 released vinyl EPs. Later years I have mostly been working with my brother, who also had an exceptional techno career as the alias Slobodan. Currently our project is named Adore.

Research

"Hydrogen induced degradation of precipitation hardened engineering alloys" is the name of the research project that became mine as I started my PhD studies in 2013. The purpose is to develop a new FE material modelling tool to predict the degradation of yield properties and premature failure of superalloys exposed to hydrogen.
The work is done within the Materials Science and Applied Mathematics research group at Malmö University in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

During my work I have dug deep into the theoretical background on hydrogen embrittlement of nickel based superalloys. I have also constructed a setup to cathodically charge samples of the superalloy IN718 with hydrogen. This needs to be done in order to test and compare hydrogen free samples with the charged ones. The setup was built entirely with obsolete equipment found at the University as I also wanted to see if this type of charging setups could be built DIY. Below is a video of the charging setup in play.

Research

The charging and material testing resulted in data used to formulate a material model to encompass the effect of hydrogen. This model in now implemented in a FE environment.
